Manufacturing Steps
STEP1
First making a 3D modelling effcet pitcures for client to confirm
STEP2
Using digital sculpting making a baby sculpture(reduce in scale);passing above two steps, client can see which their want.
STEP3
Next step We're going to make a large size model what client ordered, with 1:1 scale, stainless steel plate to do its epidermis, the metal steel pipe is the internal support frame.(Throughout the production process, we will continue to advance and provide photos to the end)
STEP4
Shipping (Try our best to do the smallest area and strongest to pack products,in order to save shipping fee for clients.
Manner of packing:blanket + pearl wool + bubble film + steel shelf(for FCL= Full Container Load) /wooden box (for LCL =less than container load)
STEP 5
How to install it---(We will provide detailed installation instructions)
WHAT PROBLEMS WILL WE MEET IN SURFACE TREATMENT?
Surface treatment is a crucial step in the production and installation of stainless steel sculptures. However, in actual operation, some problems that affect both appearance and quality are often encountered. The following are the specific manifestations of these problems and their possible causes:
Welding marks
Welding is one of the key steps in the production of stainless steel sculptures, but problems such as color differences, protrusions or depressions often occur at the welded areas. These phenomena are mainly caused by improper temperature control during welding or inadequate subsequent processing. For instance, high-temperature welding may cause color changes in local areas, resulting in obvious color differences. The protrusions or depressions at the weld seam may be the result of poor welding techniques or insufficient grinding. These problems not only affect the overall flatness of the sculpture, but also reduce its visual beauty.
Scratches and damages
During handling, processing or installation, the surface of stainless steel is prone to being affected by external factors, thereby causing scratches or damage. For instance, directly touching the surface of a sculpture with hard tools or colliding with other objects during transportation may lead to minor scratches or even significant damage on the surface. These problems can damage the integrity of the sculpture's surface, making the originally smooth surface rough or flawed.
Oxidation discoloration
Although stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, in some special environments, oxidation and discoloration may still occur. For instance, when exposed to moisture, salt spray or acidic environments for a long time, an oxide film may form on the surface of stainless steel, causing a change in color. In addition, if the residual iron filings or other contaminants are not removed in time during the processing, it may also accelerate the oxidation process and further affect the appearance of the sculpture.
Uneven surface
Uneven surface is another common problem, usually related to grinding, polishing or other surface treatment methods. If the operations of these processes are not meticulous enough, it may result in the glossiness or roughness of some areas being inconsistent with that of other areas. For instance, some areas may be overly smooth, while others may appear rather rough. Such differences will directly affect the overall texture and visual effect of the sculpture.
Stain residue
Incomplete cleaning is also an important factor leading to surface quality problems of stainless steel sculptures. During processing or installation, oil stains, dust or other impurities may adhere to the surface of the sculpture. If not cleaned up in time, these stains will be fixed in the subsequent treatment, affecting the final treatment effect. Therefore, it is particularly important to ensure the cleaning work after each step.
Coating peeling off
Insufficient adhesion of the coating is a common problem for stainless steel sculptures that have undergone coating treatment. This might be caused by improper surface pretreatment of the base material, inappropriate selection of coating materials, or defects in the construction process, etc. Once the coating peels off, it will not only affect the appearance of the sculpture, but also may weaken its protective performance, making it more vulnerable to the influence of the external environment.
In conclusion, the surface treatment of stainless steel sculptures requires a comprehensive consideration of multiple factors, including welding techniques, handling and protection, environmental adaptability, as well as cleaning and coating processes, etc. Only through strict process control and meticulous operation can the occurrence of these problems be minimized to the greatest extent, thereby ensuring that the quality and aesthetic appeal of the sculpture reach the best state.
